By downloading, installing or using Gleamit (“the app”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Gleamit is developed by Lorenzo Zabot, Milan, Italy (“we”, “us”). Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Gleamit is a personal oral hygiene tracker. It records brushing and floss sessions (manually or with the in-app timer), streaks, history and trends derived from them, reminders (brushing, brush replacement, professional cleaning, appointments), toothbrushes and brush heads, dentist details and appointments, a tooth map where you pick a condition and an optional note per tooth with a history of your changes, the dentist documents and smile photos you attach, and general educational content that is identical for every user and driven by nothing you enter.
You can generate a dentist report PDF (with a watermarked sample preview before purchase), export and import a full backup archive, and turn on an optional cloud backup into storage you control. An optional one-time “Pro” purchase unlocks the dentist report, the full streak calendar, all trend charts, the complete per-tooth history and unlimited documents and photos.
Gleamit works entirely on your device: no Gleamit account, no Gleamit backend, and your data is never sent to us.
Gleamit is for personal, non-commercial use. Do not misuse it, interfere with its operation, or use it unlawfully. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for the security of your device.
Gleamit is not a medical device and does not give dental advice. It keeps track of what you log and shows it back to you. Always consult your dental health professional when making decisions about your teeth. Gleamit is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition. In particular:
No feature takes the health information you enter and returns an assessment of it.
Your data is stored locally on your device, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything important. The in-app export creates a full archive (tracking data, documents, photos) you can restore later or on another device; files you generate to share, like that archive and the dentist report PDF, are created on your device and shared by you.
The optional cloud backup, off until you turn it on, keeps a copy in storage you control: Gleamit’s hidden area of your iCloud Drive on iOS, or the hidden app-scoped area of a Google account you connect on Android, through a sign-in scoped to that area alone. The storage is yours, runs under Apple’s or Google’s terms, and the files are not encrypted by Gleamit. Your device’s own system backup does not include Gleamit data; restoring happens in the app, from the cloud backup or from an exported archive. Scheduling, network use, contents and deletion are described in the “Cloud backup” section of our Privacy Policy.
Backups can stop for reasons outside our control: full cloud storage, withdrawn access to your Google account, iCloud Drive off for Gleamit, iCloud unable to upload, or Android power saving and app sleep settings holding the backup back. The app surfaces such failures rather than failing quietly, but we do not guarantee that a backup exists, is current or is complete, and we are not responsible for the availability, contents or timing of backups held in your own storage. Keeping your own exported copy remains the safest option.
“Pro” is a single optional one-time purchase, processed by your app store’s billing system (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store) and by RevenueCat. Purchases, restores and refunds follow the terms of the store you bought through. It is not a recurring subscription. Feature availability may change as the app evolves, and we do not guarantee any specific feature indefinitely.
Reminders are local device notifications and may depend on operating system permissions, device settings and platform behaviour outside our control.
We aim to keep Gleamit working but do not guarantee it is uninterrupted or error-free, and we may modify, update or discontinue parts of it at any time.
The app - code, design, graphics, branding and content - belongs to the Gleamit developer or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of it except as applicable law permits.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling or clearing its storage may remove locally stored data on that device.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.
We may update these Terms; changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the app after they take effect means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles. As a consumer you also keep any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
