Gleamit (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a mobile application that helps you track oral hygiene habits such as brushing, flossing, reminders, brush replacement, and dental care information. This Privacy Policy explains what information Gleamit stores and how it is handled.
Gleamit is designed to be private by default. It has no accounts, no login, and no Gleamit server. Your data is stored on your device and is not sent to us.
Gleamit stores your data locally using on-device storage. This data stays on your device unless you choose to export it.
Local data may include:
When you generate the dentist report, the PDF is built on your device from the data listed above and written to your device’s temporary storage so that you can share it. Your device clears that temporary storage; the report is never sent to us. The same applies to backup archives you export.
We do not have access to any of this data. It is not transmitted to us.
Gleamit offers a single optional one-time in-app purchase (“Pro”) that unlocks additional features. Purchases are handled by your app store’s billing system (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store) and by RevenueCat, a third-party billing infrastructure provider that validates and manages the purchase.
When you make or restore a purchase, purchase-related information may be processed by your app store and RevenueCat, such as:
This processing happens only if you interact with the purchase flow. If you never open or use the purchase feature, the app does not contact RevenueCat. Your oral hygiene data is never sent to RevenueCat or to your app store as part of this process.
If you have enabled your device’s own backup features, your operating system may include Gleamit’s on-device data in your personal device backup:
These backups are controlled by you and your operating system, not by Gleamit. To keep an independent copy of your documents and photos, use the in-app export feature (see “Exporting Your Data”).
Gleamit uses local notifications scheduled on your device for reminders such as brushing reminders, cleaning reminders, brush replacement reminders, and appointment reminders. These notifications are generated on-device. Gleamit does not use remote push notifications and does not operate a notification server.
Because your data stays on your device, we do not use it ourselves. The app uses your data locally only to operate its features, such as:
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data.
The only third parties involved are your app store’s billing system (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store) and RevenueCat, and only for processing the optional in-app purchase described above.
Gleamit lets you export your data (including a full backup archive of your tracking data — brushing and floss history, streaks, tooth map, dentist info, appointments, brushes and reminders — together with your vault documents and smile photos) so you can keep your own copy or move it to another device. You can also generate a dentist report PDF from the data you recorded. Exported files and generated reports are created by you, shared through your device’s own sharing options, and are not sent to us.
Your data remains on your device until you remove it. You can:
Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes Gleamit’s on-device data from that device. If your operating system created a device backup, that backup is controlled by your OS backup settings.
Gleamit is not a medical device and does not give dental advice. It is your own record — it keeps track of what you log and shows it back to you. Always consult your dental health professional when making decisions about your teeth.
Gleamit is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and it never takes the health information you enter and returns an assessment of it. In particular:
Gleamit is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no accounts and no server, any data entered stays on the device under the control of the device’s owner. If you believe a child has used a device in a way that concerns you, you can clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app to remove the on-device data.
Gleamit does not use third-party advertising networks or analytics SDKs. The only third-party services are your app store’s billing system (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store) and RevenueCat, used solely for the optional in-app purchase.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will reflect changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
